According to a recent announcement from the Village of Orland Park, we are now one of fifteen finalists in the PetSafe “Bark For Your Park” contest!
You may recall that we were chosen as one of twenty-five semi-finalists back in June. The Village created a two-minute video presentation expressing our desire and need for a dog park here in Orland Park.
The powers that be must have been impressed with our video submission because now we are in it to win it as a finalist in the contest.
You do not have to live in Orland Park to vote for our city to win. So tell your friends, family members, neighbor’s sister’s cousin’s hairdresser’s milkman, etc. to visit the contest site at www.barkforyourpark.com and vote daily to increase our chances to win $100,000 to be put towards building a dog park. You can also go to the Petsafe Facebook page and vote there as well.
You all know the saying “He who barks loudest gets the dog park.” Well, ok, I made that up, just trying to inspire some of you to get over to the site and vote. The recreational life of dogs everywhere depends on it! Again, slight exaggeration, just go and vote already.
What are you waiting for? Get your bark on!
