Kid’s Day at the Taste of Orland Park

My family always enjoys attending the Taste of Orland Park.  We make sure to get there during their annual Taste of Orland Park Kid’s Day which features all the Taste has to offer plus many free, kid friendly activities to entertain the little ones.

Kid’s Day this year is Saturday, August 6th from 1-5pm.

Kids can make crafts, get their faces painted, play in the bounce house, inflatable obstacle course, giant slide and much more.

There is a Family Water Balloon Toss contest being held at 2:30pm.   This is always fun to watch and even more fun to participate in.  Perfect activity for a hot day!

The ever popular Family Egg Drop contest follows at 3:30pm.  There is no registration required for either contest.  For the Egg Drop contest, each team must create a receptacle to catch the egg that is dropped from a cherry picker from increasing heights.

The younger children always get a kick out of the Touch a Truck activity at which the kids are allowed to not only touch, but climb aboard various emergency vehicles including firetrucks and military tanks.  Very exciting for little truck enthusiasts!

Visit the Village or Orland Park website to learn more about the festivities and what the Village has in store for the Taste this weekend.

For a preview of the different foods that are available, see Orland Park Patch’s preview of the restaurant vendor’s offerings!

See you there!

 Saturday, August 6th
