You may recall hearing about a CPR/AED program offered to students at our local junior high schools. Well, thanks to the efforts of school board member Lynne Donegan to include the training as part of the curriculum, the Illinois House of representatives issued a congratulatory house resolution (HR0856) to the faculty, staff, and students of Orland School District 135 for their innovative initiatives regarding student CPR/AED/First Aid training.
One of my own children participated in the training this year and he came home proud and now prepared to act, if needed, in the event of a CPR/AED related emergency. Who knows how many lives will be saved due to her urging and insistence that this training was made available to our students.
This Orland Park Mom wants to thank another Orland Park Mom, for her continued efforts and determination. Thank you, Lynne, for being a positive force and for taking the time to make a difference.
